Well-known rootstock due to its traditional presence in Spanish citriculture. Nowadays, as it is sensitive to tristeza, it is exclusively used as a rootstock for lemon trees where the combination proves tolerant of the virus.
Thrives in all types of soil, and is more resistant to the cold, than other lemon tree rootstocks such as Macrophylla and Volkameriana.
Entry into production and maturation period are later than the aforementioned citrus rootstocks, rendering it less productive.
